We sat down with Andrea from World Family Ibiza to ask her a few questions about their famed clothing brand and restaurant
Tell us a little bit about World family ibiza?
World Family Ibiza is a fashion company that emerged in 1999. We started selling at the dahlia market and little by little the company grew; handmade bags and clothing, many of them made in our workshop in Ibiza, which are now known worldwide for their great craftsmanship and quality. Unique designs, because most of them no two are alike, inspired by all parts of the world and created with textiles from Afghanistan, Morocco, Thailand, Mexico … we collect them on trips.
What are the most popular items on the menu, that you would say are your regulars favourites?
The best sellers are undoubtedly the mushroom or cheese croquettes and the kimchi sandwich.
What about you, what is your favourite dish on the menu?
My favourite is the shrimp carpaccio, its new and very very good, I love it so much!
Describe the usual atmosphere in world family ibiza?
When you enter WorldFamily Ibiza, a zebra unicorn will be waiting for you at the entrance. In the same space you will find the restaurant and the boutique, both inside and outside the premises.
The atmosphere is enveloping and very relaxed, ideal for families and couples. The decoration is inspired by several proposals. Lots of color, sturdy wooden tables, cushions handmade by us, and on the ceiling you will find many hanging god’s eyes, typical of Mexico, symbolizing protection.
What’s one thing our readers should know about world family ibiza?
What you should know is that WorldFamily Ibiza is a true family project. On the one hand, the restaurant is managed by the two older brothers, Rama and Asher. Rama is the maitre d’ and Asher the chef.
The fashion part is managed by the two older sisters Goldie and Carlota. Goldie is a designer and is in charge of creating amazing pieces, often with the support of Merel, and Carlota manages the administrative side.
On the other hand, Merel and Alok are the parents and founders of World Family Ibiza, you will always find them in the restaurant giving a warm welcome to visitors.
And we always end with dessert. What should we have?
The chocolate coulant, cheesecake and apple pie, all homemade, are my favorites!!
