IBIZA CLUB NEWS

Hey Ibiza Club News Fam, this is the twin DJ/Producer duo from NYC, Castor & Pollux with a big celebration for ADE 2023! This time we give you an inside look at Martin Garrix’s ‘IDEM’ Show that took place on Friday, October 20th at RAI Amsterdam. We covered the event during the incredible event during the best week of the year in electronic music A bit of background on us, we are twins from NYC where we have been producing our own music for 9 years and have been DJing for 4 years where we have played alongside proclaimed acts such as Martin Garrix himself, Tiesto, Alan Walker, Alesso and Zedd. We have also released our original productions on great labels such as Revealed Recordings, BODYWRMR, Nexchapter and Turn It Up Muzik.

Garrix’s ADE shows are known for their spectacular production with incredible lasers, flashy visuals, and world-famous guest artists. A brand-new production this year wowed the crowd and this year marked the fifth edition of his back-to-back shows in the RAI Amsterdam, produced by E&A Events, after four previous sold-out editions.

We arrived at the venue just in time for the talented Nuzb, where he brought big tech house vibes that quickly had the entire crowd dancing. He had a perfect set as the crowd was filling in and he really brought the dancefloor together as they were building things up for Martin that would be playing right after him.

Once he got off stage, it was the artist who everyone was waiting for. The man behind STMPD RCRDS…Martin Garrix. When he got on the stage, the entire venue featured their eyes on the stage as all heads were glued to Martin getting on the decks. He came out to his unreleased collab with Third Party ‘Flashlights’ intro edit, which the fans have named it. The anticipation was building once he was getting on the stage. Once he arrived it was three hours of Martin Garrix music. From his old school tracks like ‘Turn Up The Speakers’ and ‘Tremor’ to his new tracks ‘Starlight’ with Dubvison and so many more from his latest album ‘Sentio’ and unreleased IDs that he has played throughout 2023. The visuals spectacle was something truly incredible. You couldn’t take your eyes off of it.

It really is a larger-than-life production. Martin had lasers throughout all of his tracks with his famous plus behind him but every little detail made you feel in the moment. Martin and his team get everything right with what colors to use and when to use specific video pieces to get the audience into the whole show. You could tell he’s never complacent with his sets either and it really showed. The crowd screamed every piece of vocals that they could with classic tracks from Garrix and he built up the night nicely within his 3 hour set. Martin and his team are no stranger to the big occasion and that’s why they are at the pinnacle when it comes to creating a story within Martin’s journey. The ‘IDEM’ show is a concept that has been in the works for years now. It is a reflection of the journey they have been on from D3.bug to ANIMA and most recently, SENTIO. From the Latin word, “idem”, which means “the same”, this project is a concept closely related to identity and shared human experiences and we have to say, throughout the night, you really felt that in the entire arena

Once again, Martin Garrix put on an epic finale to night 3 of ADE for all of the fans in attendance and now that this chapter has closed for Martin and his team, the stakes get even bigger as we move forward into next year!
