Paul Van Dyke Making A Full Recovery

by | Mar 7, 2016 | Archive | 0 comments

Trance legend Paul van Dyk is thankfully reported to be on the mend after suffering a fall at A State of Trance Festival in Netherlands on February 28.

The German DJ and producer fell from the stage while climbing on the decks (Lesson to be learned here to any DJ’s reading this!) and was concussed and cracked one of his vertebrae. He was airlifted from the festival to a hospital in Utrecht, and thankfully now it has been announced he is set to make a full recovery and will live to climb up on another set of decks, unless he has learned his lesson that is.

His team wrote: “We’d like to express our heartfelt thanks and gratitude for everyone’s overwhelming support for PvD this past week. We have very good news to report as Paul is fully conscious and now under normal care.

“Paul did sustain a concussion and cracked vertebrae. Though he must remain under hospital care while his condition improves, we expect Paul to recover fully from his injuries. PvD deeply appreciates your support and looks forward to touring again as soon as possible.”

Any dates Paul has been scheduled to play have now been cancelled.

Advice from Ibiza Club News to any budding DJ’s out there? Decks are for records, not for dancing on! 😉
