The Amsterdam Dance Event kicks into action today. Some of us here at Ibiza Club news are lucky enough to be attending this highlight on the clubbing calendar and throughout the week we’ll be bringing you our top picks of the various events taking place each day.

First up how about a bit of comedy and music, with the best comedians and upcoming international DJs? This event takes place at the Comedy Café IJdock 89. The funniest jokes about the dance scene, but also about life and interests will be brought by the best comedians. Before and after the comedy show the best upcoming international DJs presented by IND3MAND Artist & Management, such as  Arisen Flame, Boombastix, JJ Mullor and Justin Strikes will give another perspective to the dance scene and make their own sound. It starts at 7:30pm with the laughs commencing at 8:30pm.

Next if art is your thing, check out The Art of Banksy at Beurs van Berlage. Theories about the identity of this mysterious street artist abound, most recently he has been revealed as Massive Attack’s Robert Del Naja. This exhibition consists of original canvasses, paintings, sculptures and interactive storytelling that let’s you experience poignant periods of Banksy’s career. It’s the most valuable Banksy collection in the world. The exhibition is on from 10am – 6pm.

There is plenty of music to sample everyday but our pick for today has to be Awakenings & Len Faki present Figure Night at Gashouder. A night of techno brilliance from 10pm – 8 the next morning with Blawan Cleric, Jeroen Search, Len Faki, Octave One, Rødhåd and Roman Ponce is sure to round out an excellent first day.
