This weekends final Amnesia show, is partly in jeopardy after San Antonio police revoked the clubs late operating license for Saturday October 6, after Monday’s Cocoon ran over schedule by a number of hours. Amnesia is usually meant to close at 6am, though anyone who has ever been there will testify that it usually runs over time.

Mondays Cocoon ran until 9am, despite several warnings from the anti-raving police. As a result the season closer will be forced to stop hours earlier than the planned midday on Sunday finishing time.
Amnesia is famous for disobeying the authorities when it comes to closing times, last year the club was found to be in breach of its license 15 times. The closing party for example closed at 1pm, a full seven hours after it was supposed to. San Antonio councillor and local kill joy, Jaunjo Ferrer, said: “The town hall cannot be sure that the club will stick to the new times, just like they didn’t last year,”. Boo hiss is what we say.

This weekend closing had sets from the likes of Claptone and Gorgon City in the main room and Ricardo Villalobos, Paco Osuna and Apollonia on the Terrace. However it’s the main room early hours acts like Luigi Madonna, Hector Couto and Gaetano Parisio that are likely to suffer due to this revocation, whether Amnesia chooses to obey remains to be seen.
