IBIZA CLUB NEWS

There’s a lot of speculation around the EDM genre in Ibiza. Some say it’s dead completely, while others would say it’s still as booming as ever! Well, we’re here to put what people have been saying to bed and let you know EDM is not dead!

Some of the biggest nights in Ibiza are actually EDM influenced, F*** Me I’m Famous, Tomorrowland, Dimitri From Paris & Like Mike, Together, Martin Garrix, Armin Van Buuren + Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano and in saying that, it’s impossible for somebody to say the genre is dead.

Now, when it comes to EDM up & comers, there’s only a certain few that have really captured our attention here at Ibiza Club News HQ! Let’s meet them, shall we?

RYZY

Originating from Peterhead, Scotland, RYZY has been a prominent figure on the EDM circuit as of late.

Picking up music at the tender age of ten, RYZY had always been interested in experimenting with musical genres. As the years went on he had struggled to get a break in the industry! But in saying that, he gathered a group of local talent, including himself, and released a compilation under his RMX Group imprint. And from there, the rest is history!

RYZY is now managed by none other than a Sony A&R agent, has been associating with Reverb Records, working along-side Brit Awards nominee’s, producing in Bryan Adams studio and a whole lot more. It goes without question, RYZY is swiftly on the rise.

The man himself will be making his debut in EDEN, San Antonio on the 31 July.

Joe Hawes

Joe has been quite a familiar face within the EDM scene since the beginning of his career.

Having always had a very positive and eclectic look at what he does, his hybrid live sets, including his electric drum pads that change through the set from a different drum and percussion sounds, make him a really unique artist.

Aside from the performance side of things, Joe has started his own label, ‘Coffee House Records’, which originally started as a platform to self-release his own music but is now being pushed to release other artists music in both the future house and future bass genres.

We’re extremely excited to see what the rest of the year holds for Joe Hawes!

Joe will be making his Ibiza debut in EDEN on the 31 July.

PATON

Scottish bred and a familiar face to Ibiza, PATON has been making some big movements with his music in the past while.

Having started out producing on guitar, drums, and vocals, PATON’s sound eventually evolved into something that felt a lot more natural for him, dance music.

Producing his first track turned out to be a lot more of a success than most first tracks, originally with Jack Eye Jones on IBZ Records, Paton wrote and sang on the track, which later went on to get support from EDM superstar Oliver Heldens on his Heldeep Radio Show.

You can catch PATON at Livefromibiza this summer

MODAA

Originating from Swansea, Lloyd Scoulding has put in years of grafting to get where he is to this day. From playing for five years in local bars and clubs in his hometown, he’s played countless gigs building his name. Through this hard work, he got the chance to play in Ibiza and the rest is history!
From playing in Amnesia, Pacha, Sankeys and holding a residency in Ibiza Rocks Bar with an official pre-party for Cream, Lloyd then went on to play a festival in San Antonio and ended up actually stepping in for the main headline playing to almost 4,500 people.
Following on from the previous achievements, back in 2015 he won Ibiza’s best newcomer and held a very successful night known as Modaafied.
Aside from Djing, Lloyd has been hard at work in the studio. Gaining support from SDJM & Michael Woods, he’s got a seriously impressive back catalog ready to be signed and we don’t see it being too long before this man is at the top of the game.

Micky Quinn

Northern Ireland’s sweetheart, Micky Quinn is considered to be one the most recognised residents in the country.

Reeling in with over ten years worth of experience in music, Micky has been headlining some of Europe’s biggest and best clubs including Ministry of Sound, Eden, Amnesia, The Wright Venue, Mandella Hall and many more. With that, he’s also supported some artists like Steve Aoki, Stormzy, Chase & Status, R3HAB, Quintino and Cosmic Gate to mention just a few. Residencies wise, he’s got monthly slots in Secrets Nightclub, The Burn Nightclub and last but not least Sallys of Omagh!

With the main focus of his time going towards DJing, he’s also a very successful producer and is a big addition to Pukka Up Records and is a global resident within the brand. Racking up over 5 tracks set to release in the 2nd half of 2018, some tours in India & Asia + a heap of UK festival bookings, Micky Quinn is truly unstoppable.

Will you be seeing Micky Quinn coming to a town near you soon? You bet you will.
