Ibiza Club News Radio has been bubbling around in the background for quite a few weeks now. Testing, plotting, dancing to ourselves, preparing for a long winter of great music leading into hopefully the return of summer in 2021. As we celebrate our official launch, it’s time to get to know the residents. This time around, we chat to Dean Elso…
Hey! Nice to meet you. What’s your name?
What made you want to be a DJ?
I have always taught about being a DJ since my first rave at 15 years old, I hated commercial music and I just felt that the underground stuff had such a genuine & sincere sound
What are your top 5 tunes EVER? We’ll be secretly judging you, so they better be good.
Whats your favourite club and why?
District 8 Dublin is my favourite club as they have always put on the biggest and best shows in Ireland, a fantastic organisation that just go bigger and bigger every time
Tell us your favourite thing about being a DJ?
I love meeting different individuals, people in this industry have a great attitude in general and your always bond to meet some absolute hero’s on your adventures
What advice have you been given in life that you found useful?
The first time I ever played on the radio a good mentor of mine told me to “play It loud and play it proud” lol, it stuck with me ever since and helps remind me to enjoy my sets and forget the pressure
Lockdowns have been awful for dance music, if you had to make a bet – how do you see 2021 playing out?
I’m normally very optimistic but I don’t see 2021 going the way we hoped, I think to our surprise next year’s festival season will also be cancelled, I hate to say it but this year hasn’t gone the way it should if we want to be back to normal by 2021
Where is the best place for people to check out your music?
Tell us about this months mix?
This months mix is a fast paced hard techno with acid / trancey vibes through out, all recorded on a xdj rx 1 that’s in need of a serious service for way too long lol, I love underground music and the live that way too
