Hey! Nice to meet you. What’s your name?

Mendez

What made you want to be a DJ?

I wanted to be a DJ after my second trip to Ibiza, i always had a big passion for music from a young age and never actually thought of doing anything previously with it. Got this different buzz about music while being on the island and a thought a have to do this.

What are your top 5 tunes EVER? We’ll be secretly judging you, so they better be good.

I think it may take a while to narrow this down!

Whats your favourite club and why?

Subclub, A small intimate club and just has this atmosphere about it that is magic. There is not another place like it!

Tell us your favourite thing about being a DJ?

Favourite thing about being a DJ, is a get to play the tracks I’ve found and that a get a buzz from. To then give someone else that same feeling as what a get when am listening to other djs.

What advice have you been given in life that you found useful?

Stay focused, work hard and always be humble. Be positive!

Lockdowns have been awful for dance music, if you had to make a bet – how do you see 2021 playing out?

Can’t see it getting much better right now, if things change though the scene is going to blow up!!

Where is the best place for people to check out your music?

Soundcloud or Mixcloud, still not got my first productions away yet. So mixes are over these two platforms.

Tell us about this months mix?

I record all my mixes in the studio, always pushed for time to get it done. So usually I just put the decks on and just see where it takes me. From track to vibes it could be the spur of anything at moment in time.
