Radio Team

Ibiza Club News Radio has been bubbling around in the background for quite a few weeks now. Testing, plotting, dancing to ourselves, preparing for a long winter of great music leading into hopefully the return of summer in 2021. As we celebrate our official launch, it’s time to get to know the residents. This time around, we chat to Sarah Lennox…

Hey! Nice to meet you. What’s your name?

Sarah Lennox

What made you want to be a DJ?

I fell in love at the age of 16 when I seen a DJ playing on a set of technics at a house party, I watched him for hours and from there I went on to save to buy my my own decks and started collecting records.
I lucky enough to go to the Temple Theatre and The Point Depot in Dublin those nights would of hugely inspired me seeing the likes of Sasha, Digweed, Carl Cox, Mauro Picotto, Lisa Lashes etc, mind blown!

What are your top 5 tunes EVER? We’ll be secretly judging you, so they better be good.

Such a hard question….

Oxia – Domino
Paul Kalkbrenner – Sky & Sand
The Yellowheads – Submerged
Bedrock ft KYO – For What You Dream Of
D.O.N.S – Drop The Gun

Whats your favourite club and why?

Favourite club would of have to been Space Ibiza before it closed 🙁
I love Amnesia too though! That feeling standing for the first time under those ice canons amazing!

Tell us your favourite thing about being a DJ?

The buzz you get when your up there, that feeling never goes away, in all honesty it is such a rollercoaster of emotions I’ve learnt that over the years.
There can be a lot of up’s & down’s, but that excitement you get when your getting ready for a gig & when your looking down at the people going absolutely mental is definitely something that keeps me loving what I’m doing.

What advice have you been given in life that you found useful?

Doesn’t happen over night & persistence is key!

Lockdowns have been awful for dance music, if you had to make a bet – how do you see 2021 playing out?

Not great :/

Where is the best place for people to check out your music?

Tell us about this months mix?

I’m living in Spain at the moment sooooo, this months mix is actually my first I’ve ever recorded on Ableton, I’ve only ever used this DAW for production’s, but I actually had a lot of fun out on the terrace mixing it down! Lots of great techno in here, hope you enjoy!
