Space will reopen again this year as Space, so the Ibiza rumour mill online has been saying the last few days anyway. But just how true is it?

A story first appeared in Periodico de Ibiza back on the 22nd of December with an interview with Abel Matutes Juan stating that the legendary Space Ibiza will keep its original name while adding a secondary name to tie it to their existing establishments.

However word on the street around Ibiza is that the staff and crew from Space Ibiza have been busy during the winter months and have relocated to Privilege, with talks of multi-million euro investments before the summer and even rumour of Pepe Rosello being involved, however nothing has been confirmed and there have been no whispers of Privilege changing its name to Space, so we don’t believe that to the case.

There is also the never-ending whispers of Space reopening its doors over in San Antonio, with licensing on the issue discussed in San Antonio council meetings in recent meetings, suggesting that the Reco des Sol Hotel which is located close to the Hotel Hawaii and Ocean Beach had put in an application in 2015 to expand the venue, rumoured to be the new Space Ibiza nightclub.

Which of these rumours is true? We honestly don’t know, but one thing is for sure, things will become much clearer in the coming weeks as clubs start announcing line-ups and club nights for 2016 and we’ll bring you the news first!
