Playa d’en Bossa’s extravagant beach hotel, Ushuaïa, will bring its season to a close tomorrow, Saturday October 1, following another varied and successful run in 2016. The open air venue is a favourite with Ibiza’s EDM disciples and hosts the biggest names in that genre for the majority of the season – including, David Guetta, Hardwell, Martin Garrix and everyone’s favourite gimmick merchant Steve Aoki.
There are of course exceptions that prove every rule, such as Andrea Olivia’s ‘Ants’ party on a Saturday and the opening fiesta. Tomorrow will be further proof, with an exceptional line-up of techno and house music super-heroes.
Francisco Allendes, Lauren Lane, Damian Lazarus, Andrea Olivia, Black Coffee and DC-10 favourites Seth Troxler and The Martinez Brothers will see out Ushuaïa’s year. The gig starts at midday and though the hotel’s parties usually stop at midnight, this one is expected to go on well into the night.
