Spanish police have raided both Ushuaïa Beach Hotel and Pacha this morning continuing their ongoing investigation into tax fraud on the island. The Spanish press reported that Pacha was raided this morning at 06:30 with Ushuaia being targeted at around 8am.
Police also visited the offices of Ushuaïa’s parent company, Grupo Empresas Matututes’.
The two clubs are being investigated as part of the ongoing Operation Chopin, which already raided infamous Ibiza clubs Space, Privilege and Amnesia. Amnesia owner Martin Ferrer was arrested in July, following the raid in which the police recovered a reported €2 million in cash.
Pacha was put up for sale earlier this week for a reported $500 million, this latest development may put off potential investors in the world famous nightclub franchise.
