About Saskia DJ:

I am from Edinburgh in Scotland and got interested in DJing when I was at University in Dundee. I met a mature student who use to DJ in London and tell me about his record collection of white labels that he use to get given. Soon enough I use to go round to his flat and listen to his records and find loads of undiscovered sounds I had been missing. That summer I then decided to get some dj lessons and bought my first piece of kit to start mixing. Since then I have created online mixes, attended open deck nights in the city and even started my own club night surrounding house music.

My main inspiration of my music selection and mixing comes from Youtube channels such as Subsoul, Eton Messy, Heist Recordings and Defected Records. I love to look through their Youtube channels regularly to find new tracks or artists. I am always looking for new experiences to enhance my dj career but my dream would be to have the opportunity to play a set in Ibiza as it’s so iconic.

“For me, it’s all about mood and a deep, hypnotic groove… playing those tracks that get you tapping your feet and nodding your head without you realising it, regardless of genre, tempo, style, or release date.“
