Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock for the last few days (not sure why you would be hiding under a rock but fuck it, it’s your life) you’ll have seen the images below of Carl Cox at Tobacco Docks on New Years Day wearing a “Pure Carl Cox Ibiza 2017” t-shirt.

But what is the story with Pure Carl Cox Ibiza 2017? Is it a clubnight? If so, where will it be held? How often will it happen? And who the fuck are the two other dodgy looking lads in the matching t-shirts?

Let’s look at what we do know. On January 1st, a facebook page for Pure Carl Cox Ibiza appeared, and two days before that we saw a facebook page go live for Game Over.

The Game Over facebook page shared the image of Carl and the lads in the t-shirts with the hashtags #GAMEOVER #PURECARLCOX #IBIZA2017 #IFYOUKNOWYOUKNOW

Anybody who was interested at the end of the summer may remember the Game Over name, as it was widely advertised around the island to be running an event last September 24th, with no details advertised other than #IFYOUKNOWYOUKNOW. There was no venue announced, no acts announced, nothing other than #ifyounknowyouknow.

This party turned out to the official Carl Cox closing after-party and took place in Benimussa Park, well known for its Zoo Project party. This party was the highlight of the summer for many, and was a taste of “old Ibiza” some had not seen for quite some time.

All of this tells us that Carl Cox and friends are up to their old tricks, something big is brewing for the 2017 summer season… but will they even announce it to the public or will it be a case of #ifyouknowyouknow?
