Spanish Cops Find Millions In Cash Following Club Raids

Spanish police spent most of the day yesterday (September 15) counting money after they found millions of euros in cash, following the raids on Pacha and Ushuaia.

About 40 police and national Tax agency officers took part in the raids which happened early on Thursday morning. They spent most of the day on the premises’ and according to ‘Diario De Ibiza’ recovered several million euros altogether. The Tax agency will now compare the cash taken with the companies declared accounting records, to see if there are any discrepancies.

The two clubs are being investigated as part of the ongoing Operation Chopin, a nationwide investigation into nightlife industry fraud, which raided infamous Ibiza clubs Space, Privilege and Amnesia in July, resulting in the arrest of Amnesia owner Martin Ferrer, €2 million in cash was also reportedly taken by police.
