So the time is nearly upon us, to say a tearful goodbye to the best club ever grace this beautiful Earth and of course the line-up for the Space Closing Fiesta is absolutely ridiculous. There are no tickets left to buy anywhere online, but don’t despair there will be some available on the door, just expect to queue for a while.
Space are used to dealing with lengthy lines and it is expected that they will have up to ten different entrances for you to avail of on this momentous occasion, just bring some snacks so you don’t pass out from starvation or lack of water.
So far there are over 90 acts booked, with more to be announced it looks like it’s going to be well over a hundred. There are literally too many to name, but trust me it’s a veritable who’s who of dance music icons, here’s just a few of the legends announced so far in no particular order – Marco Bailey, Christian Varela, Aphotek, Brandon Block, Alex P, Alfredo, Mikaela, Erick Morillo, David Morales, Doorly, Jon Rundell, Anja Schneider, Steve Bug, Nic Fanciulli, Eats Everything, Darius Syrossian, Josh Wink, Kölsch, Tale Of Us, Maceo Plex and of course the man himself Carl Cox, Oh Yes Oh Yes!
The Fiesta will start during the day, as Space will have the car park open to take in the last of the sunlight, but there is no telling when it will end. It truly is the end of an era and as such the line-up reads like one that would be announced if the world was about to end. In some ways it is, but don’t despair the island is still strong, music never dies but all good things must come to an end eventually, so say adios to Space in style, cry if you must but don’t stop dancing while you do it!
