IBIZA CLUB NEWS

Ibiza is home to some of the world’s most stylish and original dancers, if a new dance move or dance style is going to be big you’re guaranteed to see it in on the dance floors of Ibiza long before you’ll see them anywhere else. Here’s a list of five dance moves that you’re guaranteed to see in Ibiza this summer.

The shuffle

Despite being totally 2015 and annoying as fuck, there’s still likely to be plenty of shufflers embarrassing themselves on the islands dance floors this summer. You should probably steer well clear of these guys unless you want a black eye or to have your drink spilt.

The dab

This is easily one of the most stupid looking dance moves to ever grace a dance floor, yet, somehow, it seems to be getting more and more popular every day. Keep an eye out for people who look like they’re checking to see if they’re armpits smell like shit.

The dad at a wedding

The beauty of Ibiza is that you could just as easily be raving next to a fifty year old man as a twenty one year old girl, this greatly increases the amount of different types of dance moves you’ll see in clubs. Championed by none other than Solomun, the dad at a wedding is set to be one of this summer’s biggest crazes.

The ket sway

The ket sway has been one of the island’s most loved dance moves since the early 2000s and shows no signs of going anywhere anytime soon. Vacant stares and a gentle side to side rocking motion make the ket sway one of the easiest and most relaxing dance moves going and can be enjoyed by even the most inebriated clubber.

The drunken stumble

Away from the super clubs and trendy bars, the drunken stumble is a dancefloor favourite in the many bars and drinking holes in San Antonio’s West End. This is a popular dance move for the younger generation of visitors to the island and is usually accompanied by a small trickle of vomit down the front of their chest and often ends with them being face down on the dancefloor.
