If you’ve ever been to Ibiza, you’ll probably agree with us that it’s a pretty special place but it’s not quite perfect. That’s not a complaint by the way, there aren’t many places on Earth we’d rather spend time but no matter how good it is, there’s always room for improvement. So, for content’s sake, we’ve decided to bring you a series of articles where we tell you exactly what’s on our Ibiza Wish List ahead of next summer.
Sometimes we’ll be looking at things we want to see on the island, sometimes we’ll be talking about things we want to see less of on the island but, given the fact that “Ibiza’s not what it used to be” is one of the most commonly used phrases on the planet, a lot of the time we’re going to be talking about getting things back to the way they once were.
This week is going to be one of those occasions, as the latest addition to our Ibiza Wish List is the return of twenty-four-hour parties. If your Ibiza experience has come in the last few years, you’re probably unaware of the
Parties spilled over from one to the next and the vibe on the island was much more hedonistic freak than super-fit Instagram model. We’re not suggesting that you need to have these hours and non-stop parties to enjoy yourself, but it certainly doesn’t hurt to have the option available.
Giving people, particularly party hungry tourists, somewhere to go and focus their energy during the day could also have some really positive knock-on effects for the island. For one, it would take the rowdy element away from areas where people are living and working and give them a place to go and enjoy themselves in
It would also help to create jobs and revenue for a host of business, right through from the clubs to the transport systems and everyone else in between. For us, the return of twenty-four-hour parties is a no-brainer and one that comes with far more pros than cons. However, we know that for now at least, this is still very much a part of our wish list and we certainly won’t be holding our breath in anticipation of their return anytime soon.
